Ghost Town Skeleton Key featuring the Meade Hotel in Bannack Montana
To make this I added an image of the Meade Hotel in Bannack Montana onto a glass cabochon (the image is from a picture of the hotel I took years ago) then wire wrapped it onto a large iron skeleton key using copper wire adding more skeleton keys, feathers, and crystals.
It can be worn as a cosplay necklace or hung as an ornament.
This is a big, heavy key, not for the weak at heart. It is up to the key owner what doors it opens; this wonderland is only limited by one's imagination.
The key is large, measures about 5.08" long x 1.79" wide x 0.74" thick, and weighs about 0.5 oz.
Thank you for supporting our small business; we appreciate it,
Rae
More about Bannack:
Bannack State Park is a National Historic Landmark and the site of Montana's first major gold discovery on July 28, 1862. This strike set off a massive gold rush that swelled Bannack's population to over 3,000 by 1863. As the value of gold steadily dwindled, Bannack's bustling population was slowly lost. Over 50 buildings line Main Street; their historic log and frame structures recall Montana's formative years.
Park size: 1,529 acres. Elevation: 5,837 feet
We are full-time artists with extensive backgrounds in the high-tech industry, which helps us with the technical aspects of our artwork and glass blowing. We love to incorporate science into our functional art pieces.
Our small organic farm overlooks the Bitterroot Mountains with several buildings dedicated to our work-from-home lifestyle. The Steampunk Shop is Rae’s creative space; the Torch Shop is where we blow our glass, and the Big Shop is for general mad science and Bill's electronics lab.
Since 1993, our work has produced glass art, including hand-blown contemporary marbles, hummingbird feeders, and Pixie Orb ornaments.
We are spreading love and harmony - one piece of art at a time.
